Adrian Wilson
Class of 90
(’86 if you count from Form 5)
I have a first degree in Economic and Mathematics and a
master’s degree in Project Management. I decided to join the
PSU three (3) years ago as a means of giving back to a
school that has been instrumental in educating the male
members of my immediate and extended family.
At school, I took part in extracurricular activities;
representing the school’s basketball team that went on to
win the National School’s Basketball League (I played
Centre).
St. Mary’s provided a platform that spawned lifelong
friendships, and indelible memories (in and out of the
classroom) that my compatriots laugh about to this day
(though sometimes I wish they would forget). We have had one
full reunion thus far and would continue to have
mini-sessions from time to time (it should be noted that the
PSU is committed to supporting reunions).
Post CIC, I found myself at the opposite side of the
classroom as a teacher at both the secondary and tertiary
levels, and it was this experience that provided both joy
and chagrin, as I remember some of the torture that our
generation put some of the teachers through (but it all made
for a wonderful experience).
In spite of the many challenges past and present, St. Mary’s
college is still a beacon of hope for education, our youth
and by extension our society, as exemplified by the alumni
that have and continue to make stellar contributions to our
nation and the world at large.
Therefore, it is with great pride that I say that I am a
past student of St. Mary’s College and I will continue to
ensure that the legacy continues. |
